Amateur Music Journos Blow It for AOL, A Company that Was Blowing It Anyway

According to this recent Gawker post, all of the hipsters AOL hired for next to nothing to provide South by Southwest-related content for the company’s citizen-journalism “Seed” program are missing their deadline, which is, like, totally right now. The corporation is so panicked it’s dropped its photo requirement, and is begging via e-mail for the stories.

Pay attention, cheapskate media conglomerates. I don’t care if the only difference between professional music journalists and (other) college dropouts with better-than-average musical tastes is the fact that pros can write hammered and hung over as deadlines loom–apparently, it’s a difference that matters.
